The "Agrupación Fotográfica de Torrevieja" started out in the early 80´s. With the passing of the years, it has become a reference point for lovers of photography. All those that wish to participate in the various events of the group are very welcome.
We meet every Friday (except public holidays and during certain summer months) in the group´s meeting room, where we enjoy various events such as slide shows/projections by local photographers, which is an opportunity for members to show off their work, and have it critiqued by other members.
The group has at its disposal a wide and varied collection of photography books and magazines, which members are free to consult. The books cover many themes ranging from traditional darkroom techniques to digital photography. The group subscribes to the best Spanish photography magazines.
We also have a complete black and white darkroom at our disposal, equipped with all the necessary materials such as enlargers, tanks etc. AFT members are able to develop and print their traditional photographs here.
Besides a traditional darkroom, the group has a slide scanner, allowing members to convert their slides and negatives into digital format.
Occasionally, the group organises photographic trips into the countryside or mountains.
